Overclocking and EFI
There's plenty to like about Gigabyte's EFI, although as with its Z97 offerings, there are actually two - a simplified, snappy, no-frills version and one with a little more visual pizazz.
The latter can be a little slow, although it's arguably the better in terms of layout, features and aesthetics if you'll be spending a lot of time tweaking.
Overclocking was fairly painless, although we needed to apply a comparatively hefty 1.39V vcore and maximum loadline calibration to get to our maximum 4.8GHz without any stability issues.
Whichever EFI you choose, there are plenty of options, although there are only basic extras and no fancy fan control suites included with most MSI and Asus enthusiast boards, nor any of the Asus ROG features such as integrated secure erase
